Kat riley

I grew up a seismic kid, living in about 14 different states before I was 8 and moving to Canada when I was 12. Since the time I was little, I always had an intense love for animals and especially dogs. I started "training" our family dogs and dogs that would find their way to our home when I was 7 yrs old and I haven't stopped since. When I was 14, my parents divorced and my sisters and I moved back to Texas where we "planted roots" until I was 22. My family adopted our first Pit Bull / Boxer mix when I was 15, a dog named "Freeway", and I fell head over heels in love with the breed. Before Freeway, I always feared Pit Bulls, and I'll always be grateful that she entered my life. Freeway passed away in 1993 but my love for the breed continued to grow as I met more dogs and learned more about the breed. I met Alicia, on a Pit Bull forum, shortly after moving to South Carolina in 2007. We became involved in organized rescue together and in 2008 we founded New Hope because we share the same passion for wanting to give these dogs back the dignity they deserve.
I am also the volunteer webmaster for our site, blog, myspace and most everything net related. If you experience problems with our site, please contact me at webmaster@nhpbr.org
